Sunshine Sips Brews New Opportunities for Adults With Disabilities
A new chapter is brewing for our interns through Sunshine Sips, a new coffee shop creating meaningful training and employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
RHCJC News recently highlighted the story behind Sunshine Sips, including our new 12-week training program, the first group of 10 interns, and our partnership with the Mississippi Antique Galleria. The program gives interns hands-on workplace experience, opportunities to serve the community, and the chance to build confidence and discover their strengths.
Sunshine Sips is scheduled to open October 1 inside the Mississippi Antique Galleria in Gulfport. Until then, the mobile coffee cart is bringing drinks and opportunities to community events across the Coast.
